History
Port Charlotte Seventh-day Adventist (PCAS) was established in 1970 by the Port Charlotte Seventh-day Adventist church to provide students with a Christ-centered Seventh-day Adventist education. Currently PCAS offers classes to students in kindergarten through high school.

The mission of Port Charlotte Adventist School is to prepare students for service to God and humanity through Christian character development and academic excellence.

Philosophy of Faith
Port Charlotte Adventist School exists primarily to instill in its students the message of Christ. We desire to develop in our youth the character of God, leading each student to a closer personal connection with Christ, a better knowledge of God’s word, a desire to share and act upon knowledge received, excellence in intellectual attainment, social ease, and respect and care of the body. All of this will prepare for this life and for eternity.

Port Charlotte Adventist School is proud to be a part of the Florida Conference Office of Education—FLCOE, pronounced “Flow-Koh”—a statewide network of Seventh-day Adventist schools and early childhood centers.
Across the network, FLCOE schools share a commitment to helping students discover and develop their God-given potential through Christ-centered education, meaningful learning experiences, quality instruction, and school communities shaped by faith and grace.
At PCAS, that shared commitment is expressed in a way that remains distinctly local. We are rooted in Seventh-day Adventist Education values and Bible principles, responsive to the needs of our students, and deeply connected to families throughout Port Charlotte and the greater Charlotte County community.

ADMISSIONS AND ENROLLMENT PLEDGE
Port Charlotte Adventist School is a place where students are given every opportunity to grow. We are looking for students who want to engage with us in the journey and who are excited to be in our school. We want each child to do his/her best while accepting the help the teacher offers. We have a high standard of behavior as outlined in this handbook, and we want parents/guardians to sign an Enrollment Pledge form indicating their support of these expectations.
PCAS, a Seventh-day Adventist school, is open to young people who are emotionally ready to enroll for the purpose of doing earnest, faithful work, and who have a desire to develop a Christian character and a personal walk with God. A minimum of two PCAS staff or board members may interview each new prospective child before students in grades 3–8 proceed with registration.
PCAS partners with parents or legal guardians of students in the education of their children. In doing so, PCAS requires family members to support our educational program, participate in various school activities, and encourages parents or guardians to uphold Christian principles in the home.
